Kevin Johnson is a passionate entrepreneur, philanthropist, and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at The Spirit Diet. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Clark Atlanta University with a degree in Accounting and gained business experience working with powerhouse firms, including Price Waterhouse and Arthur Anderson LLP in their Real Estate Taxation Groups. His experience led to him becoming an Asset Manager at a real estate firm.
Kevin also manages the Johnson family real estate portfolio and development. His development efforts and support of minority contractors earned him the 2017 Emerging Developer of the Year Award from the New York State Association of Minority Contractors, Inc. He has also joined Carthage Capital Group as a Director in their Private Equity and Real Estate Advisory Group.
In addition to his business ventures, Kevin is actively involved in his community. He served as the chairman of the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts (MoCADA) and currently serves as the chairman of the Flatbush Business Improvement District (BID).
Kevin also Served as a board member of the Ifetayo Cultural Arts Facility and the Flatbush YMCA.
For his community efforts, The Network Journal awarded Kevin the 40 Under Forty Achievement Award and featured him on the cover of their magazine. Additionally, Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke awarded him the 2018 Shining Star Award for Outstanding Leadership in Business and Community Service.
